Did you know that Spain is the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union? If you are visiting Spain you will learn about the cuisine, climate, population and celebrations that are celebrated within Spain. You will learn about Spain plus if you are visiting for a holiday.

Cuisine (Food They Eat)

One of the most popular dishes is a stew called Asturian bean stew. It is the most loved dish around Spain.  Their cuisine involves dishes that has been past by traditions and generations. The things that are included in Asturian bean stew is Austrian beans, Chorizo, Morcilla, Pork Belly, Onion, Garlic, Paprika and Saffron and lastly olive oil.

The climate

The climate in Spain can get increasingly hot and this temperature is known as Mediterranean climate. It is another way for  saying very hot weather. I am sure people in Spain are used to it. Fun Fact: The temperature in summer can get up to 35 degrees!

The Population

The Spanish population is 46,070,146 million people plus tourists.  So it would be pretty crowded in Spain with all the busking and big crowds.

Celebrations

The top ten celebrations in Spain is Semana Santa, San Fermín, Tomatina tomato fight, Las Fallas, Feria de sevilla, Carnival, Christmas and New Years, Cristianos y moros, Semana Grande and Tamborrada. All of these celebrations happen to celebrate things related to holy or catholic purposes.

We have learnt what the cuisine, climate, Population and celebration’s celebrated within Spain. If you go to Spain and make sure you are prepared for hot weather and crowded towns.

In week two, Te Ngahere made information reports about different countries. First we had to chose a country, then we got to write. I chose the country Spain. Our WALT was to write an information report. Here is my information report.
